24 HOURS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT (Indoor Track)

The 24 hours Record Attempt will be held on november 1 at 10:00am at Luis Puig Velodrome in Valencia. The 24-hour solo record represents one of the greatest challenges for ultracyclists . At the moment Michael Secrest holds the indoor world record (535,86 miles). But records are meant to be broken and I will try to beat it.
This velodrome in Valencia is suitable for Julián to make his record attempt, being the perfect place for him to surprise us once more.

One of the advantages of cycling on a velodrome is that there won't be any headwind to fight with but as one of the rules for "Indoor Track Record" says, the rider must travel in the same direction on the track at all times, that's why I will have to struggle to overcome boredom so I will try to face this long distance by divinding it in my mind in 6 segments of 4 hours which will make it easier for me mentally speaking.

OFFICIALS: Although the challenge will take place in Valencia thanks to the collaboration of the Council Sports Department. It will be the Basque Cycling Federation the responsible to certificate the mark with 6 officials who have previously been approved by the Records Chair by taking a short test to demonstrate knowledge of the record attempt rules. They are:
Koldo Goiriena
Luis MªZugazua
Cristina Gonzalez
Pablo de Mendiola
Ignacio Sola
Jose Ignacio Ibañez

CREW: I will be taking a crew made up of 10 persons (doctors, physiotherapist.) who unselfishly, as usual, will help me. Some of them have already accompanied me in some of my challenges like "Le Tour Ultime" and "Race" that's why I really trust them and can count on them. What else can I ask for but a reliable and experienced team like this is?

THE RECORD: The last 24 hours Indoor Track Record Attempt was, as i mentioned before (535,86miles) This is the link to the Ultramarathon cycling Association for those who want to know more about it. http://www.ultracycling.com.
